However, it looks like WhatsApp is having some bigger plans to improve user engagement. Recently, the instant messaging app was found testing a new feature which will make user engagement easier and better.

According to the reports from WABetainfo, WhatsApp is now working on a new feature that will act as a time bomb for annoying Group admins but will be loved by group members. The new feature is known as “Dismiss As Admin” and in this, any group admin can revoke other admin authority without removing them from the group.

The latest feature is known as “Dismiss As Admin” will allow one group admin to dismiss another, without removing him/her from the group chats. It’s worth to note that before this, it was required to remove the person from the group and adding them again to revoke its group admin features.

Before this, the privileges enjoyed by group admins is that only they are allowed to add/remove participants to an existing chat. Similarly, only a group admin can remove participants from group chats. The new feature is right now available on the beta version of WhatsApp 2.18.12.

Another group feature that WhatsApp is testing is “Private Replies” which will allow group members to send private replies to others in the group chat. This feature is something, which will be loved by group members but at the same time group admins will hate.
