Android P To Power iPhone X-Like ‘NOTCH’

Whether you like it or not, the tech giant Apple’s iPhone X has set trends for the future, including Android P. Its notch screen will soon be copied by other brands, thus maximizing the usable screen area.

Anticipating this trend, the tech giant Google will be preparing its operating system and the Android version P will have support for screens that include the notch.

It is still early to know what new news the Android P will bring, but already circulating information that gives certain features like Android P ‘Notch’.

The most important novelty of Android P

The most important of these is, for now, Android support for screens that include the “notch”. The Android Pistachio Ice Cream (internal name of this new version) will ensure that this new trend is supported and does not interfere with its interface.

In the case of Android, the presence of the “notch” came with the Essential Phone and should soon be extended to many other devices, such as the Huawei P20, and not only in the centre, but in different and unusual positions.

The tech giant Google wants to go further and prepares Android P for more screens. It is said that this version will also have support for multiple screens and folding screens, already foreseeing what some brands may be preparing to put on the market.

What to expect more from Android P?

It is hoped that this new version will also bring greater integration with Google Assistant, which should be able to be integrated directly into applications, and an even more accurate battery management. There is also talk about the arrival of Material Design 2.0.

As in previous versions, Android P should be introduced as early as May at Google’s annual I/O conference. By then much more should be developed and prepared, so that this new version is ready to be used by these new equipment devices.
