Materials and design of the CHUWI Hi10 Plus

Chuwi continues its firm path in the field of good-value tablets at a reasonable price, as we have already seen in other models such as the Chuwi Hi10 or Chuwi Hi12. The new member of the family, the CHUWI Hi10 Plus, does not stray too far from what was seen earlier in the house. In fact and taking a look at the technical features, the new tablet seems like a review of the CHUWI Hi10 Plus with better building materials. The 10.1-inch screen that configures dimensions of 26.20 x 19.75 x 0.85 cm, a really thin tablet.

Unibody metallic body for the tablet of Chuwi, a resistant and really light material considering that it has a total weight of 550 grams. Analyzing in detail, the rear area is completely smooth with the screen printing of the brand and the addition of the main camera of 5 MP without flash. This cover is not accessible disassembly, so the battery cannot be removable. On the front of the tablet, the capacitive button with the Windows logo to take us to the main menu, as well as the traditional sensors and a secondary camera of 2 MP. In the upper part, screen unlocking buttons and volume control, in the lower part, the docking to connect the interesting optional keyboard that we will talk about later.

On the sides, we find the slots and the different connections with the CHUWI Hi10 Plus tablet. On the left side, we find the 3.5 mm minijack audio connection, USB type C port to charge our battery and data, micro USB, micro HDMI, microphone, speaker and microSD card slot. The side is more solitary, counting only with the other speaker. In general, a design very similar to that seen previously, but with the addition of the USB Type-C port, becoming the main novelty of the CHUWI Hi10 Plus.

Screen, sound and keyboard, a perfect combo

The chosen screen has a dimension of 10.1 inches diagonal, with a screen resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 and a pixel density of 224 PPI. Panel IPS Retina Display for a sensational viewing and rolling OGS (One Glass Solution). Our multimedia content is reproduced with a good representation of colours, saturation and clearly in a paronámico format.

And for its reproduction, nothing better than having an audio system that accompanies the images. The stereo speakers that incorporate the Chuwi tablet work correctly but without highlighting, the best experience we will have through the use of headphones or Bluetooth speakers.

As we have already mentioned, it is optional to purchase a keyboard for our tablet. This keyboard is made of aluminium, has a good touch and both keyboard and touchpad responds optimally. The experience improves notably with a physical keyboard, going from being a tablet to a laptop in just a few seconds. The connection is made simply through the docking port with magnetic fastening, very simple and instantaneously. It has an approximate weight of 426 grams that will have to be added to the weight of the tablet. The keyboard can be purchased for a price of around 40 euros. As it usually happens in this type of keyboards, it does not include the ñ key.
