This Banana Phone Is The Most Interesting Thing You’ll See Today: This might sound weird but “Now you can actually call friends and family – on a BANANA!”. Well, a startup company from San Francisco is looking to crowdfund a Banana shaped calling device on Indiegogo.

If you just thought that Banana Phone is a smartphone, then let me tell you, this is just a phone accessory. However, this device pairs with iOS and Android using Bluetooth so that users can make and receive calls through it.

For receiving calls, Banana Phones operates exactly like wireless earphones/headphones. In order to make calls, the Banana Phone uses voice assistants like Google Assistant and Siri that are available on the paired phones.

Banana Phone is completely made of a plastic shell that reproduces the shape and color of a real banana. Inside you will find a speaker, three buttons and a microphone to talk along with charging port and LED indicator that shows that the device is turned on.

Banana Phone comes with a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery which can deliver a talk-time of up to 10 hours and an idle time of 70 hours.

The startup company have promised to deliver 1% of sales to G4G (Gearing Up 4 Gorillas) The startup wrote on their Indiegogo Page

“G4G focuses 100% on the conservation of the rare mountain gorilla in Virunga National Park, located in eastern DR Congo, by providing funding and equipment to the rangers who protect them. Join us in helping provide what the rangers need and make a real difference to the future of the mountain gorilla”
