Desire 12 & 12+: Meet The HTC’s Most Affordable Range

Surprise! Silently, and without notice, HTC has decided to renew the iconic Desire family with two new phones, which seek to find a place in the difficult market of the most affordable mid-range segment, through a modern design that follows the lines of mobile phones. High range of the company.

Their names are HTC Desire 12 & 12+ and have just been presented by HTC through their official Twitter account. Both terminals have a similar appearance, with differences in their size and the arrangement of their cameras; and a humble technical section, which will accompany a price contained as is common in the Desire saga during recent years.

HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+, all the details

The two new phones from HTC have a very similar design, with a shiny body – although it is not specified whether of glass or plastic – and an elongated format thanks to its 5.5 and 6-inch screens respectively, both with an aspect 18:9 ratio and HD+ resolution. The Taiwanese firm HTC says they are two phones extremely comfortable to use and hold, despite the size of their screens, and that the margins that surround them have been significantly reduced compared to previous generations.

At the technical level not too many details have been revealed, beyond saying that the Desire 12 incorporates 2 or 3 GB of RAM, 16 or 32 GB of storage and quad-core processor MediaTek MT6739, while the Desire 12+ integrates a processor of eight cores clocked at 1.8 GHz -probably the Snapdragon 450-, 3 GB of RAM with 32 GB of storage and Android 8.0 Oreo inside.

We will also find differences in their cameras, since the Desire 12 includes a single sensor on its back, with 13 megapixels of resolution. The ‘Plus’ model, however, adds to the trend of dual sensors by incorporating two 13 + 2 megapixel rear cameras, and a front LED flash.
