Recently, a case of cheating was registered against e-commerce giant Flipkart after a software engineer from Mumbai received a detergent bar instead of iPhone 8.
A 26-year-old man, Tabrej Mehaboob Nagrali ordered the all-new iPhone 8 for Rs 55,000 from Flipkart and paid the full amount. However, after opening the box he found a detergent bar.
Nagrali received a bar of soap neatly packed in the handset’s cover. He filed a case of cheating against Flipkart which refused to compensate him claiming that he had signed the delivery boy’s digital log after taking possession.
Avinash Shingte, senior police inspector at Byculla Police station said: “Nagrali approached us with a complaint yesterday, and an offence of cheating was registered against Flipkart”.
Well, according to the reports from India Today, Flipkart told that they were aware of the issue and are looking forward to resolving it as soon as possible. One of a Flipkart spokesperson said “We are investigating the incident and will resolve the matter at the earliest”
