Face ID will replace the Touch ID feature. It looks like, iPhone X got an easier method to unlock the device just by looking onto the screen.
However, if you are an Android users, you can enjoy this feature without upgrading your phone because users can enable this feature on their respective devices.
How To Unlock Your Android Device With Your Face
Before we proceed, let me clear you one thing. This Face ID feature can be experienced by the Android 5.0 lollipop or following users. Google had implemented Smart Lock Feature in which you can find the “Trusted Face” option which works just like iPhone X Face id.
Here’s how you can enable the Face ID feature on Android device:
1) To start, enable the secure lock screen on your Android. You can set up an Pattern or PIN to set up an secure lock screen. Once enabled go to Settings > Security and then find Smart Lock
Note: The Smart Lock location might vary a little as it depends on the device. Like on Samsung device, Smart lock feature can be accessed by going to Settings > Lock Screen > Security > Smart Lock.
2) Tap on the Smart Lock option and then verify your current device pin or pattern. Then Choose the option “Trusted Face”.
3) Now click on “Set Up”. Now you will see a feed of your front-facing camera with an area circled in red. You need to fit your face in the red circle properly as it will scan your face for unlocking.
4) Once done, lock your Android smartphone and you will see a small silhouette icon at the bottom of your lock screen. Simply look at the Android screen and in no-time, your Android screen will be unlocked.
