Vivo X20 Plus UD With Under-Display Fingerprint Sensor Launched: In December 2017, Snayptics Inc. announced a new kind of technology that will allow smartphone manufacturers to embed fingerprint sensor on the smartphone display. At that time, the news created lots of controversies.
At early this month, we have seen Synaptics Inc showed the first prototype of technology during CES 2018. The company showed a Vivo smartphone that carries very thing edges and carries the biometric sensor on the front.
It looks like the smartphone is now launched in China. Vivo launched the new Vivo X20 Plus UD smartphone in China and it carries an under-display fingerprint sensor.
Vivo X20 Plus UD is just an upgraded variant of the original Vivo X20 Plus. However, the addition of under-display fingerprint sensor is what makes it different. Apart from all of these, the smartphone also carries powerful specifications.
The all-new Vivo X20 Plus UD will run on Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box and it features a 6.43 inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ support. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC with four core clocked at 2.2Ghz and other four cores are clocked at 1.8Ghz.
The smartphone has 4GB of ram and also carries 128GB of onboard storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. If we talk about its camera the smartphone features a dual-camera setup. On the back, it has the 12MP+5MP camera and on the front, it has 12MP camera sensor.
The smartphone will go on sale in the Chinese market from February 1 and it will carry a price tag of CNY 3,598.
