Apple iPhone X: Thieves Snatch 300+ iPhone X Worth $370,000: While fans slept in front of Apple stores around the world to get the iPhone X, three men decided to stick to the line in San Francisco, California – and even took hundreds of units home without even paying for it.
More than 300 iPhone X, Apple’s new smartphone, were stolen in San Francisco (USA) just the day before its launch. Three hooded men assaulted a courier van that was parked in front of an Apple store.
Several reports claim that the courier van that was parked in front of an Apple store carried 313 units of all new iPhone X which is approximately $370,000.
Local Police said that the robbery took place between 11:15 and 11:30 on Thursday and the thieves just took 15 minutes to complete their task. The thieves haven’t been arrested yet. However, the local police are still carrying the required investigations.
Police said each phone was listed with a description and a serial number, which makes it possible to identify a stolen unit. Once it has been resold, however, this device becomes just another among a sea of users, which makes things complicated.
Well, the iPhone X, which starts shipping from today (November 3rd) in 55 countries, is a big bet for Apple, especially at its huge price which starts at $999.
