Apple Is About To Make Older iPhones Faster Again: We all have seen how Apple slowed down older iPhones intentionally. The tech giant Apple openly admitted that they have applied special mechanisms in iOS that restricts iPhone’s performance to avoid any kind of battery issues.
This step from Apple has invited lots of criticism. Apple on return had issued a lengthy letter of apology to its customers on which it mentioned that there has been some ‘misunderstanding about the issue’. However, many users thought that Apple has taken this step to force users to buy the new version of iPhones.
We have seen peoples filing the lawsuit alleging that Apple never asked for consent to intentionally slow down the iPhones. However, iPhone users might get some relief. From now, the tech giant Apple won’t quietly throttle the performance of the older iPhones.
Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook told ABC News “We’re going to give people the visibility of the health of their battery so it’s very, very transparent. This hasn’t been done before”
So, we could expect a new update that will give users a feature to monitor the health of their iPhone’s battery. With this, users will get a better idea about their iPhone’s battery health and they will also get the option to disable performance throttling to avoid slowdowns.
The upcoming update to monitor battery health is expected to roll out on iOS 11 in the month of March 2018. What’s your opinion on this? Discuss with us in the comments.
