OPPO Patents Foldable Smartphone With Flexible Display: The world is still waiting for the first ever foldable smartphone. The South Korean Giant Samsung has always been on news for the foldable smartphone. The company is planning to launch a smartphone with the flexible display for a few years now.
However, it looks like Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has set its sights on the flexible smartphone sector. Recently, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has patented a phone design which carries a flexible design.
The patent hints that the smartphone will have an outward hinge that, once, unfolded, will act as a part of the display. The latest patent also suggests that the smartphone will carry a dual camera setup on the back.
The dual camera setup will be on the back of the unfolded smartphone. When closed, one of the sides can be used for making video calls and the other side can be used for taking selfies.
Well, its worth to note that it is too early for any speculation. These renders by Oppo are just for illustration purposes. We have to wait for some more time know if this patent becomes true.
