Edward Snowden is the guy who exposed the world how US agencies act to snoop from targets to normal citizens. Well, he recently launched a new app which would turn your smartphone into a home security system.
Edward Snowden’s new app takes advantage of the phone’s hardware to perform surveillance tasks. The beta version of his new app was already published in Google Play Store and the best thing is, you can download the app for free. In this article, we will be talking about Haven which is the new surveillance app of Edward Snowden.
Edward Snowden from its Twitter handle confirmed the launch of Haven app which is specially built for Android and iOS device. The app was developed by the Guardian Project and it offers surveillance features to those who require a way to protect their personal space and their possessions, without endangering their own privacy.
In simple words, Haven app will transform your phone into something that will monitor the environment you want. For example, if you leave your smartphone in your bedroom, it will record everything including audio and pictures of someone who enters your room. The app will record everything that is happening around.
Edward Snowden said “We designed Haven for investigative journalists, human rights defenders and people at risk of enforced disappearance. By combining the variety of sensors found on any smartphone, with the world’s most secure communications technologies, such as Signal and Tor, Haven prevents the worst kind of people from silencing citizens without being caught in the act”
