Google Already Working On Android P (Android 9.0)

The latest version of Android hardly officially came out last week, ironically taking advantage of the eclipse of the sun, and the tech giant Google is already working on Android P, of course, it will be the next version of the Android operating system.

XDA Developers has identified a new tag and three changes to the Android Open Source Project ( AOSP )repository that give clues to what would probably be Android 9.0.

According to one of them, the tech giant Google would be testing Android P in their Pixel phones (sailfish) and Pixel XL (marlin), since in the file version_defaults.mk you can see the code name of the platform, the version, and the target computer.

In another of the changes, the platform version has been changed in the Compatibility Test Suite from “8.0.0” to “P”, just as it initially did with Android “O”.

Finally, the third change would be an indication that Android 8.0 Oreo would not have maintenance updates, according to a person from the tech giant Google in response to another who asked for such modification.

While with this information you can not speculate the features that will introduce Android P, at least we would say that there will be an Android 8.1 version.
