How to Enable Developer Options?
To enable the developer options on your Android smartphone, you need to open the settings panel and then find the “About Phone” option. On the About Phone section, you need to tap into Build Number seven times.
What Can You Do With Developer Options?
1) Stay Awake
You can make your Android display in always active mode while it’s charging. If you need to pay attention to your smartphone’s display, then you can enable this option. Open Developer options and there find the option “Stay Awake” and then enable it.
2) Limiting Background Apps
As we all know, Android keeps running several apps in the background that consumes lots of battery and resources. So, with Android developer options, you can limit the background apps.
Open Developer option and then find the option “Background Process Limit” and then you can limit caps for apps. You can even choose to have no background apps running.
3) USB Debugging
If you ever wanted to recover deleted files from your Android smartphone, then you need to enable this option. You might have noticed that most of the Android-related tools on your computer requires you to enable the USB debugging option to run properly.
Without USB Debugging, computer tools can’t establish a connection between your Android and desktop. To enable USB Debugging, open developer option and then enable the “USB Debugging” option.
4) Animation Settings
If your Android device is running slow then the best option is to tweak the Animation Settings. Tweaking the Animation settings will help you to speed up your Android device in no-time.
To do this, go to developer option and then look for Transition animation scale, Animator duration scale, and Window Animation Scale. Adjust the scale (lower is better) according to your wish.
5) Show CPU Usage
Have you already installed a third-party app to keep an eye on the CPU usage of your Android? You need to remove it now. Through developer options, you can display the CPU usage without any app on your display.
To do this, you need to open the Developer options and then enable the option “Show CPU Usage”
